The Drawing Room
The Drawing Room, Parlor or Music Room is the largest room in The Mansion.  This is where the Packers would have done their formal entertaining.

The velvet draperies, adorned with gold threading, were acquired by the Packers in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.

The walls are made of stenciled sand, while the ceiling is hand painted plaster and wood with a gold leaf overlay.

The furnishings are rosewood and were purchased from George Henkels of Philadelphia.

A replica of the icicle gasolier was used for Metro Goldwyn Mayer's 1939 film, Gone With The Wind

The solid walnut and ebonized Concert Grand Steinway piano, the 118,125th Steinway to be manufactured, was purchased by daughter Mary Packer Cummings in 1905 for $1,600 dollars.

A great patroness of the arts, Mary Packer Cummings was responsible for the various pieces of fine china and the majority of the paintings which were purchased on her seventeen trips around the world.
